More Diamonds in the Deep

I have some more Diamonds in the Deep quilts to show you. This time around I’d like to show you the lap and twin sized versions created to test my Diamonds in the Deep pattern (available for purchase here).

Firstly, Tina teamed some Malka Dubrawsky fabrics with an RJR Fabrics Quilters Sateen (in Midnight) to make this beautifully bright and happy lap-sized version.

Such a great colour combination.

Then we have Melissa’s elegant version in pink, yellow and cream batiks with a cool pop of green in the centres.

The best part of the testing process for me was seeing what the testers came up with – how they interpreted the pattern and applied colour in their own way. I love all the versions and I’m ever so grateful that these ladies took the time to test for me.

Thank you Tina and Melissa for giving us more Diamonds in the Deep!

  1. Wow! I’m not usually a pink girl, but I really like that pink version. You can really see how the center squares change size in the opposite direction. Lovely!

    • Thank you Annie for the kind compliment! I can honestly tell you that a baby size of this quilt might be the perfect place to start quilting! ( I have to confess to you that I never could get knitting correct! Crochet, yes…but knitting just seemed so much more complicated!)

  2. A big ‘Thanks’ to Kirsty for the opportunity to test this wonderful pattern. I love all the versions, we all had such different ideas. Its a great pattern for using scraps – I had been saving my Malka prints for something special and when I saw this pattern I knew this was it. Thanks again, it was fun and like Melissa, I might have to make another one.

  5. Wow.they are both amazing. I love how each of your pattern testers has come up with a completely different combination of colours and fabrics and that they are all so different. It really is a stunning design. Well done and congratulations.
