Gemology is a PDF quilt pattern that you’ll receive by email directly after purchase.
The Gemology quilt is throw/lap sized; it is approximately 54″ x 70″ when finished.
Gemology uses HSTs and half rectangle triangles (HRTs) to create the geometric shapes. If you’d like to add another fun block shape to your quilting arsenal then you’ll enjoy learning how to sew these long, skinny (3:1 ratio) HRTs.
Trimming the blocks is easiest with a 12.5″ square ruler – I’d recommend having one on hand to trim the blocks quickly. The pattern gives instructions on how to trim the blocks, complete with photos.
This quilt pattern is fat-quarter friendly – click on the photos below to see the fabric requirements. (Alison Glass’ Chroma fabric line features in the cover version.)
The Gemology PDF quilt pattern arrives in your inbox immediately after purchase in the form of a downloadable link. You will be able to access the link three times before it times out, so please make sure you save the pattern to your desk top/lap top hard drive before then! Please note that iPhones and iPads don’t save automatically and therefore use up a download each time you view the pattern. Be sure to save to a computer first so you don’t use up all your downloads. (If you do, just email and I will reset them.)
Please note, this is a digital product and cannot be returned for a refund. But please email me if you have any problems as I’m here to help you.
