HRTs form a cascading modern geometric pattern for a throw quilt that shows off a fat 8th bundle or a curated selection of beautiful fabrics.
The Making Waves quilt pattern creates a throw sized quilt that finishes at 42″ x 63″.
This quilt uses Half Rectangle Triangles (HRTs) to create waves of 5 different color groups across the quilt.
The pattern requires 27 fat-eighth (F8) cuts of fabric to make the quilt top, and a half-yard of fabric for binding. (The cover version is made with the coordinating F8 solid bundle to Violet Craft’s fabric line Palm Canyon.)
The HRTs in this pattern can be trimmed with the large Bloc_Loc HRT ruler, however the ruler is not mandatory – I show you how to trim the HRT blocks with a normal quilting ruler.
