Well hello there! The weekend’s here and it’s time for another Bonjour Quilts update. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and settle in to read the news around these parts.
What I’m Sewing…
Here’s the part where I confess I have not done much sewing at all since my last newsletter.
I’ve sewn the binding on my queen size Diamonds in the Deep quilt, and we are happily sleeping under it.
However, I did not complete my table runner, which was my only task for the last 14 days.
Here’s Tigger, wondering why he still isn’t sitting on a soft, quilted table runner on the dining room table (which he is definitely NOT allowed to do).
Next newsletter I’m sure I’ll have it completed. And I’ll have some photos from another of my distractions this week: learning about Australian Native Bees.
Around the Interwebs…
QuiltCon 2027 submissions are open, oh yeah.
All of September get 20% off Fat Quarter Shop’s Basic of the Month – Shades by Riley Blake Designs.
The shortlist for the 2026 Wildlife Photographer of the Year is worth a look.
Such delicate art pieces.
Any art inspired by botanicals is alright with me!
Weaving and quilting share many common shapes…I love the artwork in this account.
Just something that I really enjoyed watching.
Reader Quilts…
Everyone’s favourite – reader quilts! If you’ve made something from Bonjour Quilts patterns please send a photo in. Either email (Kirsty at BonjourQuilts dotcom), or tag me on Facebook or Instagram.

Taryn’s Diamonds in the Deep in royal blue and white:
Halloween is getting closer, my friends! Debra made this fantastic cushion from my free Patchwork Skull Block tutorial.
And here’s Jan’s epic quilt which began with a skeleton panel and grew with the addition of Skull Patchwork Blocks and themed fabric. Super scary!
A lovely Go West quilt sewn by Lauren:
A Go West quilt in pretty patterned fabrics, by StitchStitchHooray.
Go West in three colours, sewn by Steve – so much fun!
Cats’ Corner…
I like to close with some cat photos – it seems many of you love cats as much as you love quilts. Our two Burmese cats have managed some quality sleeping/snuggling time:
Enjoying the good life, for sure.
Enjoy Your Weekend
I know it never lasts as long as you’d like, but I hope you can stretch out your weekend and get ALL the things done. Especially if one of the things-to-do is relaxing and doing nothing. This is very important.
Please take care and I hope you manage to fit a little sewing/crafting into your weekend schedule. I promise you’ll feel better for it!
Until next time,
Kirsty x
Always a pleasure to find your newsletter in my email! I love the table runner and can’t wait to see the finished product. Can you tell me what fabric you used for the cream centers of the blocks? It’s really striking. Thanks.
