Today I have a free pattern for you – to sew this rainbow patchwork clutch purse.
Firstly, how adorable is the packaging for the 10 piece Crayola FQ set?
When I received this little box of sunshine in the mail I had a lot of fun arranging the colours in rainbow order:
Then I knuckled down and designed something on the light and fun side, to match the fabric.
It sews up easily thanks to nested seams:
To be honest, I could have easily stopped at this point of the construction and turned my patchwork into a mini-quilt:
But I was curious to see if my pattern would work out as planned.
(Lined with Riley Blake Confetti Cotton in Charcoal)
Thankfully it did!
Now my only problem is deciding whether to wear it with my shamrock green or charcoal grey dress… [yes, I am one of those people who when she finds a dress that looks flattering buys it in all. the. colours 🙂 ]
What do you say?
