Boo! Halloween is drawing near. If you’re looking for a quick, not-too-scary sewing project, I this DIY Halloween Pillow project for you.
This project came to be when I wanted to add some Halloween decor to my little boys’ room, but not something that would terrify them. So many of the Halloween props in stores are, in my opinion, way over the top for younger children. There’s no way I’d want to sleep with a voice-activated severed head in my bedroom!
Ergo, this DIY Halloween Pillow. He’s a skull, but he’s smiling in a benevolent, I’m-not-going-to-eat-you way. Perfect.
If you’d like the project sheet for this Happy Skull appliqué (including the skull shapes to print and trace onto your fabric), then put your details in below. You’ll get the project sheet and will receive my newsletter (which you can easily unsubscribe from if you don’t enjoy).
Happy sewing, Kirsty
Of course I want a smiling skull! Too cute! I may have to set one on a shelf in the middle of my Halloween jars!
You have to smile along with him! Thank you!
You’re most welcome! My son likes his pillow so much that it lives on the bed all year round.
Thank you so much for your newsletter and patterns! It is so nice to see another persons take on things. Look forward to trying your patterns – such great detailed instructions too!
This is adorable, I look forward to using it.
Thank you! Happy sewing!
